about me

a researcher by vocation, a phd with expertise in dlt, interested in practices that intersect philosophy, technology, and the arts/
as a philosopher of technology, i reflect on how emerging tools and systems mediate human experience, shaping new ontologies, aesthetics, and ways of knowing.

my (art)works explore the intrinsic connection between soul & body, (un)consciousness & physicality, that often manifests through themes of acquainting oppositions. creating a dynamic interplay of undressing layers, the focus is on the sensitive and tense essence of human forms, both in their material & mental dimensions.

/evoked using text, 35mm photography, lo-fi digital printing, 3D digital painting, oil painting,(and experimental pop music).

DISCOuple

in this collection, i splice and glue human forms, endeavoring to unveil the motive of constant human interdependence and reliance on 'the constitutive other' (in philosophical terms). the artwork "nupta cadavera" references an ancient etruscan torture where the living were bound to the dead, face to face. aristotle interpreted this as a metaphor for human life, for soul-body interconnection. by employing this motif, i seek to express a longing for absolute connectivity, wherein the dichotomy between soul and body, self and other, ultimately collapses.

the living and the dead at his command,

were coupled, face to face, and hand to hand,

till, chok’d with stench, in loath’d embraces tied,

the ling’ring wretches pin’d away and died.

– virgil, the aeneid, VIII 483-88.
